First Steps
Getting Started
Do I need any experience to start?
No. The majority of our students had zero martial arts experience when they walked in for the first time. Our classes are structured so complete beginners can learn alongside more experienced students without feeling lost or out of place.
What should I wear?
Comfortable athletic clothing — shorts, joggers, or leggings, plus a T-shirt or rash guard. We're a no-gi academy, so no uniform is required. Bring a water bottle and a towel.
Is there a free trial class?
Yes. We offer a free trial class so you can experience the training, meet the coaches, and see if 10th Planet Beaumont is the right fit. No commitment, no pressure. Book your free trial here.

Classes & Schedule
What classes do you offer?
We offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (beginner, advanced, and competition), Muay Thai, Kickboxing (non-contact fitness), Kids BJJ (ages 8–13), Kids Martial Arts / Little Dragons (ages 5–12), Dragon Buddies (ages 2–4), Mixed Martial Arts, Law Enforcement training, and Private Lessons.
Do you have lunchtime classes?
Yes. We offer BJJ at 11:30 AM and Kickboxing at 12:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — perfect for a midday workout.
I work a changing shift. Can I still train?
Absolutely. Come in for a free class and our instructors will help you find consistent training days that fit your schedule. We're flexible.
I'm a student. Can 10th Planet work with my class schedule?
Yes. We regularly work with college and high school students to find class times that don't conflict with their academic schedule.
Do you allow drop-ins?
Yes — we welcome visiting practitioners. Call (409) 554-0045 for drop-in rates.

Kids Programs
Do you have classes for children?
Yes. We offer programs for children as young as 2 years old:
Dragon Buddies (ages 2–4) — Parent-child class
Little Dragons (ages 5–12) — Focus, coordination, and discipline fundamentals
Kids BJJ (ages 8–13) — Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu technique, self-defense, and character development
Children around age 8 are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and placed in the appropriate class.

Will martial arts make my child aggressive?
No — the opposite is true. Martial arts training builds discipline, respect, and self-control. Children who train consistently are less likely to bully or be bullied because they develop quiet confidence and emotional regulation.

Memberships & Billing
Are family plans available?
Yes. Members with three or more people living in the same household are eligible for family plans.
Can I cancel my membership?
Cancellation is handled according to the terms of your membership agreement. Contact our billing department directly at billing@10thplanetbeaumont.com for the fastest response.
Are extended trials available?
Yes. Ask us about extended trial options when you come in for your free class.
